Glass is now a medium available for 3D printing. The technology uses a two part chamber heating process where the first chamber heats the glass and the second chamber extrudes the glass onto the build plate. This process requires a temperature up to 1640°C. What might this technology be used for besides beautiful light fixtures? Fiber optics would be one use.
